Planning the menu for a house party can be hard. There are so many tastes to cater to. But one thing that every American loves to try is ethnic food. But why stick to just a single food? Here are 4 easy-to-make recipes that you can cook in minutes and which your guests will absolutely love:

  • Yaki Udon

A must-try Japanese food that you can include in your party menu is Yaki Udon (stir-fried noodles with vegetables/meat). The best part about this dish is that you can use any left-over veggies/meat to make this.

In one pot, boil water, add the Ramen noodles, drain and set aside. In another cookpot, heat oil on a high flame, mix the vegetables/meat and cook till tender. Add black pepper, Mentsuyu and soy sauce. Mix-in the noodles and serve.

  • Fried Rice

Fired rice is one Chinese food that is a staple in all Chinese households.  Heat oil in your pan and mix-in beaten eggs (with salt & pepper). Stir until lightly scrambled. In another pan, add rice, add a spoon of soy sauce & oyster sauce and add chopped spring onions and the scrambled eggs. Cook till soft & serve.

  • Spaghetti and meatballs

When it comes to simple cooking, nothing beats this classic Italian food.  Make or buy the meatballs. Add oil to a pan and heat on high heat. Mix-in the meatballs and cook till brown. Add onions, tomatoes, bay leaf and a pinch of salt & pepper. Bring to a simmer and switch-off the stove. In another pot, boil water, add salt and the add the pasta. Cook till soft, drain and serve with a ladle of meatballs.

  • Skillet Casserole

One Mexican food to share with friends is the Skillet Casserole. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft. In another cookpot, add ground/shredded beef and cook until tender and brown on a high heat. Drain the beef and mix it into the pan with the onions. Lower the heat and mix-in diced tomatoes, boiled beans, salt and cumin powder. Cover with pan and cook till soft. Garnish with shredded cheese and serve.
