About Porcelain Enamel

 

Porcelain enamels are materials made of fusing powdered glass applied to a substrate of metal by firing, usually between 1,380 and 1,560 °F . They have been applied to cooking vessels since the 19th century as it is smooth and glossy, corrosion resistant and durable.It is used to protect surfaces from chemical attack and physical damage and improve the appearance of the product.

430 Medical Grade Stainless Steel 

We use 430 (18/0) medical grade stainless steel which contains 18% chromium and 0% nickel whereas 304 (18/10) contains between 8 – 10.5% nickel. Nickel is implicated in numerous health problems, notably allergic contact dermatitis. Conversely, chromium is essential nutrient. It is used on induction cooker as it is a ferritic grade which makes it very magnetic. Besides, it is lighter than enameled cast iron. It heats and cools much faster than cast iron, so your cooking time can be saved.

Since ceramic coatings are fragile and require hand-washing and use of plastic or wooden utensils, titanium is added to the coating to increase wear resistance and ensure longer life of the cookware. It has a long-lasting and abrasion-resistant finish which offers a higher rate of durability than average non-stick coatings. The coating is metal friendly and normal degradation due to using metal utensils will have no effect on the cooking performances and non-stick feature. It delivers a surface 20X more durable than other nonstick and extremely resistant to abrasion and wear. Besides, it is ideal for fat-free, low-fat, and generally healthy cooking.
